Accredited Training Courses

First Person Project (FPP) provide a variety of mental health training packages, that can be tailored to suit your organisation's specific needs. 

All of our accredited training packages are delivered by experienced, senior mental health professionals and qualified trainers.


Our team have designed and led a variety of mental health services nationwide, including work with the public, private and third sector.

We teach the Ofqual and SQA regulated national qualifications in First Aid for Mental Health, available as a classroom-based course or distance learning.

FAA Level 1 award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health (RQF Level 1/SCQF Level 4)

This 1⁄2-Day course is suitable for everybody in the workplace, it is aimed at providing learners with the knowledge to identify suspected mental health conditions and the skills to start a conversation and be able to signpost the person towards professional help.

FAA Level 2 Award in First Aid for Mental Health (RQF Level 2/SCQF Level 5)

This 1-Day course, delivered by registered mental health nurses and qualified trainers covers the content of the Level 1 course (A ½-but also expands on the effects of drugs and alcohol, incorporates the First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan and covers ways in which a positive mental health culture can be supported within a workplace.

FAA Level 2 Award in First Aid for Youth Mental Health (RQF Level 2/SCQF Level 5)

This qualification is suitable for anyone who actively connects with children such as parents, carers, teachers, youth group leaders and young adults.


This 1 day qualification, delivered by a registered mental health nurses and qualified trainers has been designed with children and young people in mind covering areas such as depression, self-harm, eating disorders and bullying and will provide the knowledge and skills to identify a potential mental health condition, start a conversation, and provide support and guidance to professional help.

FAA Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health (RQF Level 3/SCQF Level 6)

This 2-Day course goes into detail on a wide range of mental health conditions and the support and help provided by healthcare professionals. It covers the content of both the Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications but is aimed at Trainer/Assessors and/or supervisor level within the workplace.
